This lecture is designed to provide the dentist and their team with the knowledge and confidence to begin evaluating and treating patients with sleep related breathing disorders. The basics of sleep, sleep related breathing disorders and the dental team’s role in providing life saving care for these individuals will be discussed. AGD Code: 160

Steven D. Bender, DDS earned his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1986. He studied orofacial pain and temporomandibular disorders at the Parker E. Mahan Facial Pain Center at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. Dr. Bender has maintained a private practice devoted to pain management of the head and face, as well as dental sleep medicine since 2001
